Lady Brabourne College (LBC) is one of the premier institutions for women's education in Kolkata, India. RAHI Foundation in collaboration with Lady Brabourne College organised a Peer Education Programme on February 9 and 10, 2017.
A total of 110 students from NSS (National Service Scheme) participated in PEP. Definition of CSA and Incest, difference between the two, how abuse happens, what children feel, why they don't talk – these were the issues discussed through an interactive session with the students. During the group work session, students presented their views on Incest / CSA.
At the end of the training, the students distributed leaflets outside their college premises, organised a campus walk and signature campaign and put up posters in and outside the college. Prof Siuli Sarkar, Principal, Lady Brabourne College encouraged the students and appreciated the posters students have developed on the issue.
