RAHI conducted its 2-day healing workshop with women survivors from RAHI's community based partner groups, MJAS, Ajmer and Sahiyar, Baroda, as part of the HumRAHI project. Through a series of didactic and experiential exercises, the workshop offered a safe space for the participants to talk about their abuse, whether they had disclosed or not, how it had affected their lives, and their hopes for the future. For all of them, this was their first step towards healing. As one participant put it: “ This is the first time I have spoken about my abuse in front of others. I never thought I could do it. This has given me tremendous self-confidence. One of my biggest blocks was telling my mother, but now I am ready to do it and move on.”
